CHICAGO — Someone in a car tried to steal a bicyclist's backpack in the South Loop early Tuesday, police said.
At 1:10 a.m., the bicyclist, a 32-year-old woman, was riding her bike in the 1400 block of South Wabash Avenue when a black SUV pulled alongside the woman and someone inside reached out and grabbed the woman's backpack, police said.
The woman refused to let go of her bag and wrestled it back, police said. She had minor injuries and refused emergency medical services.
No one was in custody.
