Shots Fired At Chicago Police, Leading To Car Chase Onto I-55, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shots were fired at Chicago Police officers in North Lawndale on Monday night, leading to a chase, police said.

At 8:04 p.m., officers were in the 1300 block of South Troy Street when someone fired shots at them, police said. The suspected attackers drove away in a car, and police pursued the car onto I-55.

Officers stopped the car on I-55 near Pulaski and took three people into custody, police said. Charges were pending.

No injuries were reported.

Over the weekend, a Chicago Police officer was shot in his hand.
