UPTOWN — The two Michelin star-winning restaurant 42 Grams is closing "indefinitely," according to a tweet from the Uptown fine dining restaurant reportedly posted Sunday on their now-closed account.

The tweet, which has since been deleted, read: "We will be closed indefinitely starting immediately. Thank you to all our loyal guests and friends. It's been an amazing ride," according to the Chicago Tribune, which first reported the closure.

The joint venture from chef Jake Bickelhaupt and his then-wife Alexa Welsh opened in the former Chester's Chicken space at 4662 N. Broadway in 2014 hoping to change the perception of the neighborhood.

No reason was given for the closure.
