LINCOLN PARK — The Wiener's Circle is back hounding President Donald Trump, this time over his rejection of the Paris Climate Accord and his nonsensical tweet.
After Trump declared the United States was withdrawing from the international environmental agreement last week, the Wiener's Circle, 2622 N. Clark St., boasted in a new message on its marquee sign that it is "proudly Paris Accord compliant."
It also dropped in a mention of "covfefe," a nonsense word Trump put in a late-night tweet last week while apparently trying to type "coverage." The tweet remained up for hours and created a global jokefest as people tried to imagine possible meanings or explanations, with Pee-wee Herman making it his word of the day.

It's only the latest attack on Trump by the determinedly combative dog stand. For April Fools' Day this year it imagined itself having been "hacked" by Russian leader Vladimir Putin in a reference to charges the Trump campaign had colluded with the Russians last year in a bid to hack Hillary Clinton's campaign and sway the election.
Early last year, when the size of Trump's hands and other appendages suddenly became a campaign issue along with Trump's own truthfulness, it created a 3-inch Trump footlong dog, which conveniently made a reappearance this year as part of the April Fools' stunt.
The Wiener's Circle also typically adopts a disguise for Halloween, but this time it didn't need an occasion to lash back at Trump over the environment.
Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris Accord sparked protests Downtown last week.
