DOWNTOWN — The city should have a sunny, warm weekend.

Saturday and Sunday will see high temperatures in the mid-80s, said Ben Deubelbeiss, a National Weather Service meteorologist. That's slightly warmer than the normal high of 75 degrees this time of year.

There will be a mix of sun and clouds over the weekend, though Sunday will have more sun, Deubelbeiss said. There will be periodic chances for showers and thunderstorms, but the rain is expected to be isolated and not every part of the city will see storms.

After that, things get a bit chillier: Sunday night will see a cold front come through the area, Deubelbeiss said. Temperatures will dip to the 60s along the lakefront during the beginning of the week, but they'll be in the low to mid-70s away from the lake.

The city will be sunny next week, though, Deubelbeiss said, and no rain is expected.
