EDGEWATER — Apart Chicago pizzeria is gearing up for a rebirth in a major way: a new name and a new location two blocks from Lake Michigan.

After a decade on North Broadway, the neighborhood pizza company is preparing to rebrand and move from its longtime, but tiny, 5624 N. Broadway location to the former T's Paisan's at 1100 W. Thorndale Ave.

Owner Bianca Ganvik said the store has been letting eager customers know about the move over the last couple of months since T's Paisan's closed earlier this year.

Both storefronts, though vastly different in size, were the same in rent, she said.

The move and new identity will give her the chance to branch out and offer customers more space and menu items that she's wanted to try for years, she said.

Still in the early stages of getting the new restaurant off the ground, Ganvik said she wasn't ready yet to divulge many details of her plan yet, but asked customers to "stay tuned" for more announcements in the future.

"It's been amazing, a lot of the customers have embraced the store, the staff, the product, the pizza — and me," Ganvik said. "The community has been asking for [more] room and now we will have it [and] much more."
