GRAND CROSSING — A new heist movie starring Viola Davis and Liam Neeson is filming in Grand Crossing this week.

The production of “Widows” is expected to move to the 7400 block of South Woodlawn Avenue from Wednesday through Monday, according to filming permits.

Davis was spotted for the first time Tuesday at the set Downtown for the filming, but it’s still unclear whether the Grand Crossing scenes will include Davis, Neeson or co-stars Elizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Rodriguez, Daniel Kaluuya or Andre Holland.

The movie is the first from director Steve McQueen since he finished “12 Years a Slave” in 2013.

“Widows” is an adaptation of a British TV show and follows four widows who are forced to complete the failed heist of their four spouses after they are killed.

The movie started filming in Chicago on May 17 and is expected to continue into June.
