CHICAGO — A two-car crash on Lake Shore Drive led to six people being hospitalized Tuesday night, police said.
At 11:50 p.m., the 17-year-old driver of one car was in the far left lane of the 1600 block of Lake Shore Drive and tried to cross lanes to make an exit, police said. The driver hit another car and then hit a pole, while the car the 17-year-old hit crashed into a fence.
Four people were taken to St. Joseph Hospital and two people were taken to Northwestern Hospital. All of them were treated and released, police said.
The 17-year-old was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid a car accident, police said.
