CHICAGO — A 2-year-old girl was in critical condition after being hit by a car in Englewood Sunday night, police said.

At 8:55 p.m., the girl ran into the street from between two parked cars in the 6000 block of South Carpenter Street and was hit by a southbound car driven by a 19-year-old woman, police said.

The car then struck a parked car before stopping, police said.

The girl was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The woman driving the car was ticketed for not having a driver's license or insurance, police said.
