WICKER PARK — Guided By Voices, Doomtree and other acts will entertain some 70,000 revelers expected to flock to the annual Wicker Park Fest this weekend— a massive street party featuring dozens of bands, a kids fest, arts fest, food, retail vendors and more.
Set for noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the fest will take over the 1300-1500 blocks of North Milwaukee Avenue between North Avenue and Paulina Street.
Bike parking will be available at the North Avenue gate. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are permitted.
There is a suggested $10 fee to enter the fest, with proceeds benefiting the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. All profits from the Kids Fest activities (bounce house, face painting, hair streaking, etc.) will go to Jonathan Burr Elementary.
