ROGERS PARK — Rogers Park business and community groups are seeking feedback on what they hope to develop into a strategic vision for the future of Clark Street.

A main artery through the neighborhood, Clark Street has historically been "the heart of Rogers Park’s shopping district and a reflection of its diverse cultures and communities," according to the Rogers Park Business Alliance.

The Lakota Group, a design and urban planning firm, has teamed up with the business alliance to come up with a plan for the thoroughfare called "Vision Clark Street" that will revitalize the street by providing local businesses the "tools to strengthen the street’s identity, vitality and function."

The development strategy will be funded through the business alliance and will include a plan to engage community members, conduct a market assessment, analyze transportation and economic stimulation, evaluate land-use, and develop designs that will ultimately transform the street.

Residents are invited to share feedback during an open house on the project from 5-8 p.m. May 30 at 7004 N. Clark St.
