OLD TOWN — Like a little culture with your evening cocktail?

The Chicago History Museum is launching what it's calling a monthly "History Happy Hour" from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at 1601 N. Clark St.

The kickoff event includes a tasting from Chicago's own Koval Distillery, and from month to month various local breweries and distilleries will be featured.

General admission to the museum is free to Illinois residents on Tuesday evenings, but tickets to the "History Happy Hour" are $15 and include a spirit tasting and a craft beer. Tickets, of course, are only for those 21 and older.

Visitors can also take advantage of rotating exhibitions and 15-minute "flash tours," sometimes with an expert guide.

The next happy hour is set for June 20.
