CHICAGO — Lamanta Reese, 19, was shot dead in Englewood on Tuesday.
Reese was in the 700 block of West Marquette Road when a gunman began shooting about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Reese was shot in his head, groin, shoulder and abdomen.
He was rushed in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said.
Reese, of the 7100 block of South East End Avenue, was pronounced dead at 8:29 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
