CHICAGO — A man was shot during an attempted robbery in River North early Friday morning, police said.
The victim, 31, was sitting in a vehicle in the 100 block of West Erie Street at 4:15 a.m. when another vehicle pulled up beside him, police said.
One of two people inside showed a handgun and said he was going to rob the man. The man resisted, and the gunman shot him in his knee before running away, police said.
The man was taken to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in good condition.
No arrests have been made.
