CHICAGO — Police are looking for a man who stole a running parked car Wednesday night that had a girl sitting in a car seat inside in Old Town.
The car was taken from the 1400 block of North Wells Street at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, police said. It was later found in the 100 block of West Chicago Avenue.
The child was inside the car unharmed and no one has been arrested.
A cab driver who said he followed the car after it was stolen told the Tribune that "the parents were running after the car along with the driver, and they were yelling like in horror."
The driver said he saw police officers and told them what had happened. Later he saw the car and found the child inside sleeping.
