Man Tried To Lure 12-Year-Old Girl Into Austin Alley

CHICAGO — Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to lure a 12-year-old girl into an Austin alley earlier this month.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of North Cicero Avenue on May 4 at 7:30 a.m.

The man was standing in an alley and walked up close to the victim before looking her up and down and saying: "hey, hey, come here."

The girl kept walking and the man followed her to Ferdinand Street.

The girl got scared and ran, catching up with her brother. The man also fled.

The victim told her school and her mother called 911.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-3 black man between 30 to 47 years old. He weighs about 200 pounds, has brown eyes, short black hair and has a medium brown complexion. He was wearing a black cloth jacket and black pants.
