WICKER PARK — Returning to Wicker Park's namesake park next month, the weekly Farmers Market welcomes back several vendors and some new additions, such as La Farine Bakery and Windmill Ginger Brew.

Located at 1425 N. Damen Ave. in Wicker Park — one-half block south of the CTA Damen Blue Line "L" stop — the 2017 market season runs on Sundays from June 4 through Oct. 29, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Missing from the lineup is Crepes Paname, a popular crepe stand that makes large sweet and savory crepes, usually for around $5-$8.

Hans Kumler, coordinator of the farmers market produced by the Wicker Park Chamber of Commerce, said on Wednesday that he has made several attempts to get in touch with Crepes Paname to see if they are joining the market.

Crepes Paname sells a wide variety of savory and sweet crepes at the Wicker Park Farmers Market, including this turkey-and-salsa crepe.

"I've been working on it but have not heard back yet," Kumler said.

Crepes Paname has been a part of the market for at least the past five summers.

Another new vendor this year is Wicker Park-based based Kinetic Ferment, which makes miso, kimchi and vinegar.

Kumler is launching a weekly Friday newsletter just for market-related news. To stay in the know, sign up for the newsletter.

As an additional bonus, there will be several free outdoor music and theater events happening on market Sundays, in partnership with the Wicker Park Advisory Council. Check out the volunteer group's "Create Series" schedule here, or scroll to the bottom of this post for the lineup.
