CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was shot and wounded Monday night in West Ridge, a drive-by that happened in the neighborhood's far northwest corner near Evanston, police said.
At 11:34 p.m., the man was standing on the sidewalk in the 7500 block of North Kedzie Avenue when someone in a black car fired shots at him, police said.
The man was hit in his left thigh and his neck was grazed by a bullet, police said. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where his condition was not available but police said he was listed as "stable."
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
