CHICAGO — The Dunning branch of the Chicago Public Library, 7455 W. Cornelia Ave., will host one of dozens of open community roundtables aimed at thawing communication boundaries all over the city.

The On the Table discussion series, organized every spring by the Chicago Community Trust, aims to "connect individuals and communities of diverse perspectives and backgrounds," according to librarians.

"Talking — and listening — to our neighbors is an important step toward creating a more unified Chicago," the event description continued.

Tens of thousands of people have lent their voices to On the Table meetings since the Chicago Community Trust launched the project in 2014.

Refreshments will be served at the Dunning discussion, which begins at noon Thursday.

Attendees can RSVP by calling 312-743-0480.
