CHICAGO — A woman was shot while driving on the Kennedy Expressway early Sunday, police said.
At 5:15 a.m., the woman was driving northbound on I-90 near Fullerton Avenue when someone in a black BMW fired shots at the car she was in, State Police said in a news release.
The woman was hit once in her leg and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Her age and condition were not immediately available.
No one was in custody.
No further information was immediately available. Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call State Police at 847-294-4400.
