Beverly Garage Burglaries Lead To Warning From Police

BEVERLY — Chicago Police warned Beverly residents Wednesday of a burglar who is getting into garages through unlocked side doors and stealing lawn equipment and tools.

Two of the burglaries occurred April 22 in the 10600 block of South Prospect Avenue. A third occurred May 1 in the 1600 block of West 106th Street, according to police.

The burglaries all took place between midnight and 9 a.m.

Police encourage residents to make sure their garage doors are locked and keep serial numbers of all valuables, including bikes, tools and lawn equipment. Anyone with more information is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8273.
