WICKER PARK — Alliance Bakery has rolled out a new Chance the Rapper cookie, this one paying homage to his "Coloring Book" mixtape.
The cookies feature a Chance the Rapper hat designed to look like it's been colored in with crayons. "#SupportCPS" is written on each cookie, a reminder the bakery, at 1736 W. Division St., is donating a portion of the proceeds from Chance cookie sales to Chicago Public Schools.
The Wicker Park bakery — which was also responsible for Chance's famous Harold's Chicken birthday cake — has sold 4,000 Chance cookies since the beginning of March, manager Tony Randall said. A dollar from each cookie sold goes to CPS.

Earlier this year, Alliance Bakery was looking for a way to honor Chance, a Chatham native, after his "Coloring Book" won a Grammy — the first time a streaming-only album won. In early March, Chance announced he'd donate $1 million to cash-strapped CPS and launched SocialWorks, a charity organization geared toward empowering students.
The bakery's employees decided they could pitch in and began selling their Chance cookies. They've gone through several designs and have vowed to match the first $5,000 they raise through cookie sales.
With its matching donation, the bakery has raised about $8,000 so far and hopes it can get at least $10,000. It'll be rolling out even more Chance cookie designs throughout this month, Randall said, and it will donate much larger Chance cookies to SocialWorks to auction off for charity.
The bakery's not sure when it'll stop making Chance cookies, Randall said, but it's hoping to find more ways to help CPS and raise money for local schools.
