CHICAGO — Adrian John Nieves, 31, was killed in a shooting in Hermosa on Friday, officials said.
At 11:04 p.m., the man was sitting in a van's back seat when someone in a gray car fired at the van, police said. He was hit in his head and taken to Community First Hospital.
Nieves, of an unknown home address, was pronounced dead at 11:22 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his head in a homicide.
No one is in custody.
