CHICAGO — A 32-year-old woman was shot and robbed in Logan Square on Sunday morning, police said.

At 6:40 a.m., the woman and a 19-year-old man were sitting in a parked car in the 1700 block of North Springfield Avenue when a man walked up, opened the driver's side door and told the two to give him their belongings, police said.

The man handed over his cellphone. The woman said she didn't have anything to give, and the attacker shot her in her abdomen and ran away, police said.

The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said. The 19-year-old was not wounded.
