Loyola Student Taken To ATM By Armed Robber Seeking Cash, Police Say

ROGERS PARK — A Loyola University student was robbed while walking near the campus early Saturday morning, according to the school. 

Around 2:45 a.m., the student was walking in the 1200 block of West Arthur Avenue when a person with a weapon approached. The school did not specify the type of weapon used. 

Both walked over to a Chase ATM at 6415 N. Sheridan Road, where money was withdrawn before the robber fled, police said.

A safety alert issued by Loyola said a description of the robber was not available.
