Stolen Car Hits Police Car During Chase, Injuring Officers, Police Say

CHICAGO — The driver of a stolen car hit a police car during a chase in North Lawndale early Wednesday, officials said.

At 12:12 a.m., officers saw the car in the 1600 block of South Springfield Avenue and started to chase it, police said. The driver of the car hit a police car that was helping with the chase, and the police car hit another car in the 1400 block of South Pulaski Road.

Officers went to an area hospital, where they were treated and released, police said. No other injuries were reported.

Two men were taken into a custody and a weapon was found, police said. Charges were pending.
