CHICAGO — Darlis Nkolomoni, 18, was shot to death in Rogers Park early Tuesday, officials said.

At 7 a.m., witnesses said the man was being chased in the 1400 block of West Jonquil Terrace when they heard gunshots, police said.

The man was found after being shot in his head, police said.

Nkolomoni, of the 7600 block of North Greenview Avenue, was pronounced dead at 9:08 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one was in custody.

Neighboring Evanston Police tweeted early Tuesday morning they had closed nearby Calvary Cemetery, just north of Jonquil Avenue, and were searching for "a man with a gun that originated in Chicago."

About an hour later, police said the cemetery was re-opened.
