DOWNTOWN — If you want to get some quality time outside, do it now, because there's a chance for storms and chillier weather every day the rest of this week.

Storms could dump 3-5 inches of rain on the city by Sunday, with hail and strong winds possible on some days. The amount of rain each neighborhood gets could vary.

The first round of storms are expected to start Wednesday. Thunderstorms should start by the late morning and last into the afternoon and evening, said Andrew Krein, a National Weather Service meteorologist.

The day's storms could dump 1 inch of rain on the city and will possibly come with severe weather, including strong winds and large hail, Krein said. Temperatures should hit the 70s.

Thursday has a lesser chance of rain, with some showers lingering into the morning, Krein said. Temperatures are expected to be in the 50s as a cold front moves through the city.

The rain returns Friday, with rain and thunderstorms starting early in the day and lasting into the night, Krein said. The day will be a bit warmer with temperatures hitting the low to mid-60s.

Saturday and Sunday could see moderate to heavy rainfall with temperatures in the mid-50s to low 60s Saturday and rising to the mid-60s the next day, Krein said.
