CHICAGO — Fredrick Stewart, 26, was shot to death in South Shore on Saturday night, officials said.
At 6:31 p.m., the man was in the 2800 block of East 76th Street when someone walked up to him and fired shots, police said. The man was hit in his left eye and lower back.
The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Stewart, of an unknown home address, was pronounced dead at 9:13 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
The shooter ran away and no one was in custody.
