Uptown Shooting Critically Wounds Man, 21, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in Uptown on Tuesday night, police said.

At 9:30 p.m., the man was walking in the 4500 block of North Clarendon Avenue when a white car drove up to him and stopped, police said. Someone got out of the car and fired shots at the man.

The man was hit in his arms and right leg and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
