CHICAGO — A shooting in South Shore killed Christopher Reed, 19, and critically wounded a woman on Monday morning, officials said.
At 11:25 a.m., the woman, 26, was driving the man in the 7000 block of South Chappel Avenue when a car went by and someone inside fired shots at the two, police said.
Reed, of the 7000 block of South Kingston, was pronounced dead at 11:53 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
