CHICAGO — A woman was sexually assaulted and robbed inside her apartment in Lakeview early Sunday, officials said.
At 12:01 a.m., the woman was in her apartment in the 500 block of West Oakdale Avenue when a man she'd met earlier in a bar sexually assaulted her, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
The man also robbed the woman, taking her cellphone and other belongings before he left, Pacheco said.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where her condition was not available, but she was listed as "stable," Pacheco said.
Officers were interviewing a person of interest in connection to the assault, Pacheco said.
