West Town Shooting Wounds Man, 32, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in West Town wounded a 32-year-old man on Sunday morning, police said.

At 5:47 a.m., the man was walking in the 1100 block of North Ashland Avenue when someone in a silver-colored SUV fired shots at him, police said.

The victim's head was grazed by a bullet and he was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

Officers saw the shooting and stopped the shooter in the 800 block of North Ashland Avenue, police said. They took the shooter into custody and found a gun and shell casings inside the person's car. Charges were pending.
