CHICAGO — Darian Cobbs, 26, was shot to death in Austin on Wednesday, officials said.
At 10:33 a.m., the man was sitting in his car in the 5400 block of West Kamerling Avenue when a man walked up, took out a gun and fired shots into the car, police said.
The victim was hit and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Cobbs, of the 2100 block of South Avers, was pronounced dead at 1:04 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The gunman ran away after the shooting.
No one was in custody.
