CHICAGO — Donald Johnson, 22, was shot to death during an argument with his father over who would walk their dog Sunday, officials said.

At 8:21 a.m., the men were in the 9100 block of South Woodlawn Avenue when they got into an argument with each other and shot at each other, police said.

The 22-year-old man was hit multiple times and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, police said. Johnson, of the same block where he was killed, was pronounced dead at 9:16 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The 43-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

Two guns were found at the scene, a police source said, and the incident was "domestic."

The shooting started because the men were arguing over who would walk the dog, according to ABC7.
