CHICAGO — Shane Williams Collier, 18, was shot dead in Auburn Gresham on Saturday, officials said.
At 5:03 p.m., the man was in the 1200 block of West 81st Street when someone in a car fired shots at him, police said. The man was hit in his chest and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
Collier, of the 7900 block of South Elizabeth, was pronounced dead at 7:03 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his back in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
