ENGLEWOOD — The Englewood Police District's Domestic Violence Subcommittee is seeking donations of prom dresses and suits.
For the last several years, the committee, in partnership with the district's community policing office, hosts "Prom Party with a Purpose."
The charity event provides free formalwear so teens can go to prom even if they can't afford the attire.
This year's event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 22 at Ogden Park, 6500 S. Racine Ave. Teens also will receive information and resources regarding domestic violence.
Donations will be accepted at the station until April 15. Call the CAPS office at 312-747-6722.
