UPTOWN — The Satellite Cafe will celebrate its launch in Uptown with free coffee, bagels and more this weekend.

The coffee shop at 942 W. Montrose Ave. will host its grand opening from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, said co-owner Margaret McCall.

The festivities will also include free entry to raffles and other prizes, she said.

The owners of Ravenswood's Eats and Sweets, McCall and her husband Tim Benedict, opened the space-themed, commuter-focused coffee shop next door to Ross Dress For Less in March.

The cafe offers free Wi-Fi and has seating for about 12 people. It brews Two Brothers Coffee, available both hot and as a cold brew.

The cafe is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.
