4 Killed In Restaurant Shooting In South Shore, Police Say

CHICAGO — Two brothers shot dead in front of their mother were among four killed at a South Shore restaurant Thursday afternoon, according to police and media reports.

At 3:51 p.m., at least one man walked up to a restaurant in the 2700 block of East 75th Street and fired shots, police said. Two men were found dead inside the restaurant and a third was found dead outside. Another man was found dead in the 7500 block of South Coles Avenue.

All of the men were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Multiple news accounts said two gunmen were involved and the restaurant was Nadia Fish and Chicken, 2704 E. 75th St.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victims as Edwin Davis, 32, of the 9400 block of South Ada Street; Emmanuel Stokes, 28, of the 2400 block of East 74th Place; Dillon Jackson, 20, of the 2600 East 74th Street; and Raheem Jackson, 19, of the 2600 block of East 74th Street.

Dillon and Raheem Jackson were brothers according to the Tribune. At the time of the incident, they were inside Nadia Fish and Chicken, where their mother works. She told the paper she was standing near the restaurant window when her sons were shot dead. 

No one was in custody.

A pregnant woman was found shot to death just blocks away earlier in the day.
