CHICAGO — The Jefferson Playlot Park Advisory Council is meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ping Tom Park Fieldhouse, 1700 S. Wentworth Ave., to discuss a proposed addition of an official off-leash dog park to a section of the existing playlot, 1640 S. Jefferson St.

The dog park subcommittee would like to get the word out to the East Pilsen and greater Pilsen community about the proposed addition, so that it can gauge support and gather signatures.

The group is encouraging residents of the community, both for and against the proposed dog park, to attend the meeting for a discussion and vote, according to a news release.
