River North Rents Top City In March Report: $2,175 For 1BR

CHICAGO — River North had the priciest rent for one-bedrooms of any neighborhood this March.

Zumper looked at the rent prices for the city's neighborhoods and found the median rent for a one-bedroom in River North hit $2,175. Nearby neighborhoods, including Streeterville and the West Loop, also topped out at more than $2,000.

Rent was cheapest in Riverdale and Fuller Park, where the median rent for a one-bedroom was $600.

Overall, Chicago had the 10th-highest median rent for one-bedrooms of any major city, according to Zumper. The median rent for one-bedrooms cost $1,730 and two-bedrooms sat at $2,280 — a significant difference from San Francisco, which had the highest median rents for one-bedrooms ($3,270) and two-bedrooms ($4,500).
