MOUNT GREENWOOD — Chris Mann, a finalist on NBC’s “The Voice”  in 2012, will perform Saturday at St. Xavier University's annual President’s Scholarship Celebration.

The 32nd annual celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. The black-tie optional fundraiser will be Downtown at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel at 221 N. Columbus Drive. Tickets cost $350.

Mann finished fourth on the second season of the televised singing competition. The Wichita, Kansas, native went on to play the Phantom in a nationwide tour of "Phantom of the Opera."

The evening will include a performance from the university's student jazz trio as well as dinner and dancing. St. Xavier will offer Mass on-site before the celebration at 5:30 p.m.

“This event is an opportunity for us to celebrate our generous donors and the extraordinary impact they make in the lives of SXU students across all disciplines,” said Laurie Joyner, university president.

The fundraiser has raised nearly $6 million for student scholarships since its inception. For more information or to register for the celebration, contact the university's office of special events at 773-298-3748 or email specialevents@sxu.edu.

“We’re so grateful to our dedicated donors who help our students, many of whom are first-generation college students, to fulfill their dreams of a quality education,” Joyner said.
