CHICAGO — Don't expect lots of sun in the city this week — it'll be cloudy and chilly with bouts of rain.

Rain that started Monday morning could continue throughout the day and into the night, said AccuWeather meteorologist Bob Larson. Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly dry but cloudy, but the rain will come back Wednesday night, with showers continuing through Thursday and into Friday.

Expect clouds in between the showers, Larson said.

"It is going to be chilly and it is going to be mostly cloudy and, at times, it is going to be rainy," Larson said.

Temperatures will stick around the 40s throughout the week thanks in part to a breeze coming off the lake, Larson said. That's lower than the low 50s Chicago usually sees this time of year.

Tuesday is expected to be the warmest day, but don't expect to see another 50-degree day until Saturday, Larson said.

"We're going to be running below average here most of this week," Larson said.
