CHICAGO — A shooting in Auburn Gresham killed one woman and wounded two people early Sunday, police said.

At 1:40 a.m., the three were in an apartment building vestibule in the 900 block of West 76th Street when they got into an argument with another group of people, police said.

Two men took out guns and fired shots at the victims, police said.

A 30-year-old woman was shot multiple times and a 29-year-old man was shot in his back, police said. They were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

Tanisha Jackson, of the 6200 block of South Talman, was pronounced dead at 6:15 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A third victim, a 28-year-old woman who had her chest grazed by a bullet, refused medical attention.

No one was in custody.
