DOWNTOWN — This weekend will be warmer than it's been recently, but the warmth will come with storms and rain.

Friday is expected to see temperatures hit the upper 60s, said Jamie Enderlen, a National Weather Center meteorologist, and temperatures will only fall to the mid- to upper 40s overnight. But showers and storms are expected that night, Enderlen said, though they might only drop one-tenth of an inch of rain on the city through the night.

The showers will linger into Saturday and the day will be cooler, with expected high temperatures only hitting the mid- to upper 40s along the lakefront, Enderlen said. Temperatures could make it to the low 50s away from the lake, but the showers will continue into the night.

Sunday will see temperatures hit the low 50s, but the rain is expected to last into the morning. The rest of the day is expected to be cloudy, Endelren said.
