RIVER NORTH — Another hotel could be coming Downtown.
The owner of the Dana Hotel & Spa near State and Erie streets wants to build a new 15-story, 178-room hotel next door. Ald. Brendan Reilly (42nd) shared a rendering of the proposed development with constituents Friday in advance of a community presentation next week.
Property records show the new hotel at 12-22 W. Erie St. would replace three row homes on the block currently owned by a venture of Chicago-based Rebel Hospitality, which opened the Dana in 2008.

A Rebel spokeswoman did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
Developers have opened a bevy of new hotels Downtown amid rising tourism in recent years. If built, the new hotel at State and Erie streets would sit near a 60-story hotel/condo tower proposed near Wabash and Superior streets.
The proposed Rebel hotel would include a ground-floor restaurant, Reilly said.
The developer will share its plans to neighbors at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 28 in the Great Room of The James hotel, 55 E. Ontario St.
