WICKER PARK — Inspired by Chance the Rapper's promise to give a $1 million donation to Chicago Public Schools, some Wicker Park businesses also want to help the city's cash-strapped school system.

In addition to Alliance Bakery's goal of selling 5,000 Chance the Rapper cookies by the end of the school year to raise $10,000, Rhyme or Reason will be donating 15 percent of guest checks on Tuesday nights to CPS.

The new 70s-style gastropub at 1938 W. Division St. announced the Tuesday night promotion on its Instagram page as well as through an email list.

"Join us every Tuesday. 15% of your entire bill will be donated to Chicago Public Schools," the restaurant said.

During the month of March, Chop Shop at 2033 W. North Ave. will give $1 from sales of sandwiches to CPS as well, a spokeswoman said. Chop Shop is closed on Tuesdays.
