ANDERSONVILLE — The finalists have been announced for the sixth annual Andersonville Honors awards, an event honoring residents' favorite spots in the neighborhood.

From 6:30-9 p.m. April 5, the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce will honor the neighborhood's best businesses with an awards ceremony and party at Mary's Attic, 5400 N. Clark St., according to a press release.

Tickets to the event, which is hosted by the pH Comedy Theater, are $25 per person and are available here. Tickets include food from Hamburger Mary's, one drink ticket, "access to an interactive raffle" and a vote in the Audience Choice Award, according to the press release.

"The pH Comedy Theater is thrilled to host this year’s Andersonville Honors, and our actors plan to take guests through a night of improv, games, jokes, music and more,” said Brett Mannes, executive director of the theater nominated in the “Arts Business of the Year” category.

The other categories are Best New Business, Good Neighbor Award, Service Business of the Year Award, Best Place to Eat, Best Place to Drink, Best Place to Shop and Hidden Gem Award.

Bar Roma, DeFloured Bakery, Goddess and Grocer, Middle East Bakery's Cafe and TrueNorth are all nominated for the first time.
