NORWOOD PARK — The North Carolina-based indie rock band The Pinkerton Raid will bring its unique brand of country soul to Friendship Presbyterian Church, 6088 N. Northwest Highway, for a free concert on March 17.

Along with monthly movie screenings, Bible studies and community lunches, the church holds a free music performance it calls Friday Night Love Songs on the third Friday of every month.

The Pinkerton Raid, which critics have compared to bands like The National and Fleet Foxes, will play songs off its third and most recent album, titled "Tolerance Ends, Love Begins."

Doors will to the concert will open at 7 p.m., and the show is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
