COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — The man accused of making a false bomb threat at Trump Tower last month is being held on $500,000 bail.
According to prosecutors, 30-year-old Juan-Miguel Ramirez-Rocamora checked into the Downtown hotel and tower at 401 N. Wabash Ave. on Feb. 23.
When he missed checkout time by 80 minutes Feb. 24, an employee called the room about 1:20 p.m. Feb. 24, Assistant State's Attorney Erin Antonietti said during a bond hearing Wednesday.
That's when Ramirez-Rocamora said, "You've got to call the CIA. There's a bomb in my room," according to prosecutors.

Hotel staff had to break down the door to Ramirez-Rocamora's room, where Chicago Police dogs were unable to detect any bombs or explosive material, Antonietti said.
Ramirez-Rocamora was detained for a psychiatric evaluation and now faces a charge of disorderly conduct for filing a false bomb threat.
According to his public defender, Ramirez-Rocamora has lived in Chicago with a roommate for the past five months. Court records place Ramirez-Rocamora's home address in Los Angeles, Calif.
Cook County Judge Laura Sullivan on Wednesday set bail at $500,000.
